removing Megaphones and "person" icons

I updated logos, and now am getting these images mixed in with the text.

I've looked through the various menus without success (certainly more of a comment on my ability to navegate the menus than the menus themselves), and searched in comments knowing that this must have been dealt with previously, but without avail. So…please tell me how to make them go away.

    Lots of menu action. Lots! But find your way to Markers and toggle off what you don't want.
