Is there a way to identify resources in the Library I've assigned a custom series to?

I'd like to review any resources I've already assigned to a custom series now that I have a better feel for how to use them. Is there an easy way to view only resources that have been assigned a custom series (or barring that - a way to wipe out any custom series assignments altogether)?

No idea. I have identified an approach that will at least clear them all, but it won't let me evaluate if I actually want to keep them around, unfortunately. It looks like I can select everything in my library, and then click "Clear user series" on the right.
Interestingly enough, the "Clear user series" option only shows up to be clicked if there's a resource present that has been set, so it seems like the metadata is there (if only there's a way to access it in the search).
I'm not seeing a way to do so, though, but I was able to march through the metadata on the left to narrow down, select all, and find which groups trigger the "Clear user series" button. I'll mark this the answer unless someone identifies a way to search directly for resources that have a custom series applied.

Only click'ing on the Series heading and scanning for your assigned series name(s)?
I name mine with a key, fronting the series title.

I don’t know the series titles in this case. A keyed approach for the future sounds like a great idea but looking to find ones I’ve already grouped.

I have a lot of series. I have no idea what I may have called some custom one I made while I was experimenting / learning months back.

Plan B: Do you remember example resources you series'd … to get the series name(s)?

Delete the series name using CTRL+X (for safety). If it remains blank then it is a custom series (but you can use paste to restore it). If you want to do this in Library ensure you do not filter the books by Series. If necessary Tag your suspects so you can filter with that Tag, and/or recall them.
