Logos hardware on MAC

I'm on a Mac and potentially looking to upgrade, or at least, engaging in fantasy hardware buying :)
Currently using an M1 MacBook Pro, 16Gb RAM and a 1Tb SSD, connected at home to 2x32" 4k monitors.
In the past, at least, Logos used the GPU a bit. I'm wondering what the biggest performance bottlenecks and boosts are. RAM? SSD speed? GPU? CPU?

I would think that your M1 MB pro should be completely adequate.
But if you insist on getting something new, I would suggest a M4 Mac mini given that you are already setup with monitors.
You might want to add a keyboard and a Magic Trackpad.
But first you would need to determine whether you really need the 1TB of SSD space. Take what you are actually using currently and add at least 25% … to get a rough idea of your true need.1 -
Good question. SSD is the usual answer, but judging from recent bottlenecks (which I assume they knew about), I wonder what they're compromising.

I currently have an M4 MacBook Air with 16gb memory and a 1TB ssd. I upgraded from an M2 MacBook Air and I haven’t noticed any difference in speed with logos. With over 15000 resources start time on either machine is/was about 4 seconds. You may not see a big speed increase with logos by upgrading to a newer MacBook.
