I see an envelope icon between the notification bell and my profile pic—what is it for? @Jason Stone (Logos), can you say?

    Yes, you're right. It was probably a 'mistake' on a forum update.

    They have said in the past that they don't plan on adding private messaging to the forums. They initially removed it like 10 years ago when they tried their hand at a social networking with the Faithlife account and app. I believe that their statements on not adding PMing back were made in one of the many discussions that surrounded the then upcoming release of the new forums.

    That being said (and understood) doesn't negate the fact that the envelope was there for a few days, right where Jasmin said it was. I clicked the envelope, and a little popup said "Messages. You have 0 new messages." I didn't think to take a screenshot. I also didn't think to try to message anyone, drat. I still believe it was a mistake on a forum update 😊
