Is it possible to have different sets of highlights for a passage?

I have been using highlights for words in Logos and love the flexibility of this tool. In trying to figure out how to use the keyboard shortcuts (How does that work? CTRL+# isn't it.), I stumbled across this article about visual filters, which suggests creating additional palettes for the type of speech for a phrase and for block diagrams. Love that! Thanks @Bradley Grainger (Logos) for illustrating that.
Is there a way to have two different sets of highlights in a passage? I'd love to be able to toggle off exisiting highlights and visit a clean passage to use the visual filters, then toggle between them.

In the Highlighting tool, shortcut keys can be assigned to each highlighting style. Once a hotkey has been assigned, you need only to select the text you would like to highlight and then press the single key that has been assigned as a hotkey.

This is possible by assigning notebooks to highlighting palettes. Highlights within each notebook can be turned on and off via Notes → Show notes and highlights.
