Erroneous assumption on Web link generation

I rarely use the web app. When I am in the web app, I expect links to stay in the web app. When I am in the desktop, I expect links to remain in the desktop. Today I did the following:

  1. Open Vanhoozer, Kevin J. Mere Christian Hermeneutics: Transfiguring What It Means to Read the Bible Theologically. Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan Academic, 2024. in the web app.
  2. In Summarize, select the section "The Experiment: From Methods of Criticism to Criticism of Methods"
  3. Set the anchor to the selection of the heading of the section
  4. Run summarize
  5. Copy the summary to the note

Switch to desktop, open book and note

  1. click on the anchor … it correctly opens within the desktop
  2. click on the summary heading in the note - it erroneously opens in the web app because of the configuration of the link.

The web app does not provide hyperlinks to books in their Share toolbar section, so I'm not surprised

    5. Copy the summary to the note

In this step, did you use the "Copy summary" button, or click-and-drag to select text, then copy it?

I selected and used CNTL+C … the copy function I tried to find at the end rather than at the top.
