BUG: Cannot share a ref.ly hyperlink to an excerpt from a non-biblical resource (iOS & Windows)

The share (to Faithlife) function in Windows DOES create a ref.ly hyperlink to bible verses/excerpts, but it now seems to create a biblia.com hyperlink for non-biblical resources??

The share function in iOS does create a ref.ly hyperlink to bible verses/excerpts. However, it doesn't create ANY hyperlink to non-biblical resources. Although, it absolutely used to create ref.ly hyperlinks (I have tons in various notes)??

Oddly enough, the webapp does still create a ref.ly link for non-biblical resources.

What am I missing such that I can no longer create Ref.ly hyperlinks to non-biblical resources in Windows and iOS???

v40.1 Windows
v40.0.0(181) iOS (common to both Logos and Faithlife eBooks apps)

This should be fixed in our next v42 beta, and then when v42 ships later in May.

Hi Paul, I do not see the same behavior as you. I am getting ref.ly links consistently. Can you give a specific resource where you are getting biblia?

For me, ref.ly links are NOT being created for all of my resources (dictionaries, monographs, study bibles, etc.).

On iOS, ref.ly links are created when I "share" a verse (or except of a verse) from my bible resources. When I do the exact same thing with a non-bible resource, only the selected text is "copied".

@Paul Klimek links will be generated correctly via ShareCopy link from the dynamic toolbar. That said, I can reproduce the bug you have identified via the following steps:

    1. Highlight text from a resource that is not a Bible and right-click
    2. Navigate to SelectionShare and select one of the listed options (Faithlife, Facebook, X, Email)
    3. The link fails to generate properly

I have modified the title of this post and tagged it with Bug to ensure it receives proper attention from Logos.

Similarly for iOS, "Share" has a bug. The ref.ly link is not created.

However, if I select text in a non-bible resource and then select "Copy", it will create the ref.ly link. I just have to manually move to my destination (text, email, word file, etc.) and then paste.

This is my workaround, in lieu of using "Share". So, yes I agree this is a bug.

Thanks @Paul Klimek, I can confirm the issue, we are investigating. What app(s) are you typically sharing to where you are wanting a link?
