Logos pastes Bible verses involuntarily into Word

I have been using Logos Bible Software for many years, but recently I have encountered a problem with Logos pasting Bible verses into my open Word documents without me knowing I have done anything. Is there something about the "Copy Bible Verses" panel that I have missed? Has anyone else encountered a similar problem and know how to fix it?

Could you elaborate more specifically on the steps you are taking when this happens? In the Copy Bible Verses tool, there are two options: Copy and Copy and Paste. If you click Copy and Paste, this will immediately paste the verse(s) into an open Word document. The Copy option, however, will not do this.

Mine does it only when I use it that way. See Aaron’s post.

In the Services menu of MS Word on the Mac OS you can set a key stroke to replace a selection with that verse from your top Bible. I can type a Scripture selection, select it, and type Cmd-Shift-E and the selection will be replaced with the appropriate Scripture. Could this be what is happening in your case?

Oops! That feature is set from the Services menu of Logos. The bottom selection in the screenshot.

I am fully aware of the normal use of Copy Bible Verses tool. But what is my problem is that Logos seems to copy in Bible verses that I have looked up without me clicking Copy or Copy and Paste. I may not have even used Copy Bible Verses and when I go into a Word document that has been open, I see that there are suddenly a lot of Bible verses there.

One possible solution I could think of is if there is a shortcut command to Copy and Paste that I am not aware of, that I perhaps am using without knowing it.

Thank you for your answer. I am not using Mac though, but do you know if there are similar commands on a PC?

I don't have any further ideas, but perhaps you could open Word alongside Logos to observe exactly when it's happening. That would be helpful in diagnosing the problem.

I'm rather certain that Windows has an equivalent, but someone who uses that OS will need to tell you how.

I am puzzled at the action you have described. Sorry that I do not have a solution. Aaron's suggestion is a very good one.
