When I click "Float this Panel" the panel disappears. I can see it as a tab on my toolbar, but it's blank, and will not open when I click on it. This is a new problem. Any help would be appreciated! Running Logos 8, 41.1.6.
I am running Windows 11 on the same version (Logos 8 describes the features you own, not the version you're running) and cannot reproduce this problem. Could you be more specific about the steps you are taking when this problem occurs?
I have Windows 10. When I go to my Library, select a book, click on the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the book, from the drop down menu I click "open in a floating window" and the drop down menu disappears. The book does not open. In fact, it's in my toolbar, where I have to right click it and choose "maximize" for it to open. If I open a book in a "new tab," that works, but again, if I click "float this panel," the book is minimized to my tool bar.
For me, when I follow these steps, the book opens in a floating window but is hidden behind the main Logos application. If I minimize Logos, I see the book in a floating window.
Try right-clicking the book directly from Library and selecting Open in a floating window. Does this work as expected for you?
Is it minimized or is it hidden behind the current window? Are you on PC or Mac?
Using a PC (new Dell laptop). It's not hidden behind the current window. It's minimized, but it's blank. When I click on it, nothing happens. I can open resources on the home screen, but any time I try to float them, they minimize to the tool bar and essentially disappear. Posting screenshots below. Thanks, Jeff
What version of Logos are you using, shown in the About Logos screen? Also, I would check that you are current on Windows updates.
Actually, I can see in the lower right of your screen that you are not done installing Windows updates. See if the behavior continues once Windows is up to date.
All of my anchors are linked to verses, not words. That said, most of the anchors are before the verse number, but sometimes they are after. I have checked the notes and they are all in fact linked to the verses. What is causing this, and does it matter?
I need help trying to get to the pseudepigrapha, specifically text of 1Enoch. I have tried just doing a search, as well as the Factbook, but I can only find books talking about it. I am sure I have it somewhere in one of my resources, but I can't figure out how to find it. I need 1Enoch 6 if it matters. I also need Reuben…
I have been taking notes and it looks fine in the Windows app but in the web and the Android app some texts are grey out or dark black. Logos Window app default to white text. Is there a way to fix it? Here's a picture. I check my notes in the web app.
The tabs in red boxes appear in one belief system record but not in another. Does this simply indicate that there is no data to show in the Bible and Theological view indicate that those sections are not yet linked up to data sources … wait for updates indicate that the record/page is malformed and should be reported as an…
Can anyone offer a suggestion for a good book published by Logos on the history of Christianity? I am currently reading 'A History of Christianity' by Owen Chadwick that I checked out at our local library, but he is a strong supporter of the Catholic church, which I am not a member of. Looking for a more neutral view of…
