Open NASB to John 3:11

Select the second "You" in the verse and open the Context Menu

Select "Jews (Jesus's Time Person" on the left side of the Context Menu

Note-"Look up" on the right side of the Context Menu has erroneous links to Berea

See screenshot above.

@Bill Select "Jews (Jesus's Time Person" on the left side of the Context Menu

I do not see that choice in the left side menu. Don't think it should be there as you is singular, referring to Nicodemus.

@Jack Caviness . Thank you for looking into this. Even with all the detail I put in my post I neglected to indicate that it is the second "you" in that verse, not the first instance.

I've edited my post to clarify. If you follow my outline using the second "you" you will see what I am referring to.

    Sorry for the confusion.

From the article in AYBD—"Acts 17 identifies the Beroean Jews as nobler than the Thessalonicans. "

That is likely why that link is present. Zondervan has a similar remark in their article.

There is a Look up difference between "Jews (Jesus’ time)" and "Jews"

    • the former have only Place name entries
    • the latter have a "Jews" entry replacing the first Place name!

But Jerusalem is not one of the Place names considering the location/context of the dialogue, which is not Berea (which is only mentioned in Acts). Also, "Jews (Jesus’ time)" occurs only in John's gospel.

    Hello….
