Creating a Passage List from clipboard

Hello all,

I'm asking if there is an issue with creating a Passage List from content from the clipboard.

I'd open an empty "Passage List", select "Add passages from clipboard" and I'd have a "Passage List" with all the verses I needed; however, this isn't working anymore.

I currently have Logos version 42.0.407 for macOS.

I'd appreciate any leads, comments, and/or technical assistance.

Hi @Carl Campbell, Clipboard is NOT working for me too (Logos version 42.0.407 for macOS) , selected text is working though. I think have to report as bug.

    Workaround :

    1. Right click the verses → Add the verses into Clipping

    2. Open Clipping → Click 3 dots → Save as Passage list.

Adding from clipboard works just fine from me. This is what I did: (1) opened a resource that has a bunch of references (for instance, Treasury of Scripture Knowledge), (2) selected a section of text that has multiple references and copied (to send it to the clipboard) and (3) from the passage list, used "Add from clipboard" (Logos 42.0 for Windows).

TSK & The International Standard Bible Encyclopaedia, Volumes 1–5 works for me too… o.O just not Bibles, is that how it's supposed to be?

@Michelle can you explain what steps you follow exactly when you try to do it from Bibles please?

    hi @Francis ,

    1. Right click on the verse then Click copy or press CTRL+C
    2. Go to Passage list and Add passages from Clipboard

The "Add from clipboard" option looks for any references in the surface text of what you have copied. Since you are copying text from a Bible, its not finding any references in the text, and nothing will happen. You will need to add the references directly using the text box underneath the list of passage.

@Michelle here is the better way to do it. You can either pick an existing list or click on "Add to passage list" to create a new list.

@Michelle and the OP still have an issue with copying from clipboard on MacOS. It works ok in Windows.

Now if I could get the save as sermon to work from the passage list, even with all the other issues with Logos, I would be a happy person.

Dave, we tested this and Mac seems to be working as expected. My assumption is that Michelle and the OP were copying text from a Bible and expecting that it would add the selected milestones.

If anyone can recreate a problem where the selected text contains a reference, please post back with an indication as to exactly which text in which resource was selected and we can investigate further.
