I believe the deadline to subscribe to Logos at the reduced price is fast approaching, so I want to share some thoughts about the subscription.
I started using Logos with the free version 7, and I believe I purchased Logos 8 fundamentals, Logos 9 Starter and Logos 10 Starter. I use Logos for my own personal Bible studies, and I use it almost exclusively on a tablet. However, within a few days of the official announcement of the Logos Subscription early-access, I upgraded to Logos 10 Full Feature Set and started subscribing. I've stayed on Logos Pro, but prepaid for a year in advance, then two years, when those options became available.
It may be surprising that I'm subscribing since I rarely use Logos Desktop, which has many more features than Mobile; I also don't use Smart Search much. For me, subscribing is much more than adding new features.
Even though FaithLife and Logos are for-profit, I see this as a ministry. I use Logos for personal study, but I'm sure many users teach what they learn to their congregations or small groups or use it to help make translation for people who have never had a Bible in their own language. The subscription cost is insignificant to me compared to how big of an impact Logos had around the world. (yes, I know it's not tax deductible.) I don't look at the subscription from a what-do-I-get perspective, but what am I giving.
