It helps me organize my thoughts regarding sermon planning. I like it, looking at the list view of my current year.
The only change I would make with it, and I am not sure if something like this would be possible, would be to list out my planned sermons without it creating an “Untitled Sermon” document for each week, if I’m planning out a long sermon series. Allow me to plan it, fill out the info, and when the week comes for me to start building the sermon, I could go to Sermon Manager, find the current week’s info, and click “create new sermon document” or whatever the button would be called.
Other than that, I really enjoy being able to look down the list to see where things are going in my expositional preaching.
Years ago I switched from writing my sermons in Word to writing them in the Logos Sermon Builder, and one of the reasons I switched is because now all of my sermons, lessons, and devotionals are automatically saved and organized in the Logos Sermon Manager. It is easy to find a sermon I preached years ago by verse, topic, location, or any combination of this and more. Plus, I always have all of my sermons with me right on my phone in the same app I use daily - Logos of course. I love it so much I’ve even imported a large majority of my past sermons into the Sermon Manager from Word. Now, I can enjoy the same benefits of the Sermon Manager for all of those sermons as well.
Sermon manager has been so helpful for me to keep sermons, Sunday school lessons and devotionals in one place. When I was preaching full-time, it was easy to make sure I had my calendar ready to go. One of my favorite features isn't using the manager itself but my sermons show up in my content of searches. Last month I imported all my sermons stored in Google drive and do not plan to go back.
