What does this new tab do?

Hello Everyone

I am using Logos 10. WHAT SHOULD I DO after I open one book and want to open another one? I usually click the "+new tab" beside the book I am currently reading, but it gives me all the books or pages I have been to recently and does not help me to find the book I want to read. My question is, what does "+new tab" do? When should I use it? And if I want to open another book, shall I go to my library again?

Hi Abraham, and welcome to the forums.

In answer to your questions:

- The 'plus' tab is largely just trying to guess what you want, either recent, or similar.

- Alternatively, you could press the right-arrow key (or click on the Parallel Book icon slashes), which will identify books that are arranged like the one you're in. Most often, Bibles.

- Another choice might be to click on the Factbook icon (top of window), enter a similar subject, and near the bottom, it'll list possible books, you might want.

- And finally, yes, your library. Entering a word(s) looks not only at the titles, but the book descriptions as well.

As to when you should use it? As needed. I rarely do, since I arrange my library using tags (if you want more info, ask). But some like the 'Add' tab.

That's what I would recommend - or if you happen to know the name of the book, or some of its details, you can simply enter that into the command box and select from the dropdown menu - such as:

Apparently (I'm told), this is fixed in beta and will be released…that is, a Library search box will be at the top of the new tab so the desired book can be loaded without all the guesswork.
