Why no link in this Research Edition?

As I've been complaining for oh, probably over a decade, Logos is very random when it comes to linking or not linking a resource that's in a library. You don't know how the quality of links will be until you actually buy a resource. This goes even for the so-called "Research Editions."

The current case: https://www.logos.com/product/53046/a-new-heaven-and-a-new-earth-reclaiming-biblical-eschatology This is a research edition, which entered the Logos catalogue in 2015.

Why no link to the page number in Berkouwer? The title is entered and connects to the resource, so why not connect the page numbers?

Very typical and very disappointing.

I know you've been a big advocate for links … without a lot of response.

Mine has been, just knowing how a resource is indexed. That seems both simple and rewarding to FL marketing … but not.

I believe the reason is because the first book was made a Logos edition in 2015. The book in the footnotes was not made a Logos edition until 2021 (at least, that's the date on the file, it's not listed on the website).

It does not appear that Logos goes back to update links after the book becomes a Logos edition. Which is disappointing. (I'm also not sure what an easy way to be to do that would be… I suppose keep a database that shows what books contain links to other books, and if that book becomes a Logos edition, then those links could be added…. I suppose with AI that might not be too hard to implement).

Actually no. I've had Berkouwer in my library since 2014, so it's at least that old.

You can report it as a bug.

I purchased a book on sale in April, it was supposedly a Research Edition, but it had no tagging other than the Bible verses.

I reported it as a bug, and they said they've opened a ticket, though it's been 4 months.
