Summarize tool - getting familiar with it.

Learning to use the summarize tool has taken its time, but I feel the results are often ok.

I just wonder, could the summarizing be done in the user's PC, so that it does not consume the AI credits?

My laptop has a n Intel NPU (=neural processing unit) - could that be utilized for summarizing?

I kind of doubt FL would go down that road (since so many of their features on net-only, to support multiple platforms.

I was curious what Apple could do (haven't researched it before, beyond installing a Chat client to my Apple watch). I copied a bunch of Logos into a note, and then asked Apple to summarize it. He just sort of sat there, offline. So I turned on the web-access, and he summarized it. So, I assume an on-PC is beyond consumer technology (or at least the profitability-curve so far).

I was hoping the 'AI' was making progress on 'senior living', beyond chatting, etc. We have our robot 'dog', we can go walking each day with, but at home he just responds to commands (no fetching).

AI needs to 'hurry up'.
