With Android available to so many phone companies, the market is there. And with its recent supplanting of iPhones in popularity, even more so.

One would think there would be plans. And I am hoping. It would make it a no-brainer for me to migrate my vocational library to Logos.

I can't imagine that Android OS wouldn't be a primary target in the sights of anyone at Logos Development.
Android OS continues to rise in popularity. Besides, when is the last time that Apple iPhone released their newest product and immediately the reviewers were saying that an Android phone (Evo or Incredible) is better than that phone. Whether or not this is true, is not the point. The point is that Android has taken the phone market by storm and will continue to develop into the mobile OS of choice (much as the iPhone has done for the last many years).
Since Smartphones are now serious ebook readers, the growth of larger screen, higher definition displays will continue to garner buyers from the cell phone market. Android OS and iPhone will capture the majority of that market.

I agree. The only thing stopping me from buy more Logos software is lack of Android support, so I'm using other companys' (significantly less useful) software on my phone....

I have an android phone and would love this. Library.logos.com works for now, but it would be nice to have more integrated functionality. I imagine that Android is more difficult to code for because of the variation of interfaces. Some are touchscreen only, some have keyboards. There are different sizes of screens etc. The apple products are pretty homogeneous.
I too hope that and Android version will be forthcoming, but I understand why they wouldn't do that. Perhaps it is better at this stage in the game to focus efforts on a library.logos.com that works well with prayer lists, hopefully highlights, and hopefully notes instead of trying to code for blackberry, android. windows mobile, palm, etc.

This is totally a surprise to me that logos delays to develop a similar App for Android compatible mobile devices.
Android OS is very common in Asia and North America. I believe that any edition of Logos on Android will stimulate more users to use Logos system. If my predication is right, Android user is more sensitive to the relationship between cost to run the software and its productivity. When Android is a free OS and more and more mobile devices will use this OS, Logos software will be greatly promoted and being used in this emerging niche group.

I am not a programmer so I am rather ignorant on the subject, but interface should not be too hard. I was able to download and read the Koran and the entire LDS basic library (indexed and cross-referenced) at no charge. I don't why Logos and the Bible would be too hard and it would get God's word out there.

Bob Pritchett did post a couple of months ago that Logos is running a survey to see how much demand there is for an Android or BlackBerry version:

The implication was not that there are plans to do one, but that Logos is investigating whether it would be worth their while and they're open to it.

in the meantime library.logos.com loads incredibly well on my android phone.

We need an android version. I'm tired of waiting for the mythical Verizon iPhone. I want to buy an HTC phone and stay with Verizon, but I also want my Logos software on my smart phone. Come on Logos, it's not like Android is some minor player out there.

Hi, I am Romeo Fernando from India. I just purchased a 'Samsung Galaxy " And I don't find too many Bible resources for my android phone. I was surprised to read that Library.logos.com loads well on your android phone. DO you mean to say that the Logos resources can be accesses and used on my Android run Galaxy?

Dear Romeo,
I am not Jacob but I understand his statement. http://library.logos.com is a website / so also is http://biblia.com both of which permit you to use the web browser on your phone (or computer) to read and access many (but not all) of your Logos library books.
If you visit the sites on your new Galaxy, make sure you sign in with your Logos account and you'll be amazed at the number of resources.
