Multiple Coloring Schemes for Bible (Ability to Filter or Turn On/Off)

Is it possible to "partition" highlighting such that it can be turned on and off. There is a Bible coloring scheme that I would like to apply to my Bible; however, I already have existing hightlighting in place. Can you "filter" a color scheme such that you could turn on Color-Set-1 which would suppress other coloring. So in the grand scheme I could have a Color-Set-1 set of highlighting and a Color-Set-2 set of highlighting. They might use the same colors but mean different things.

Yes - if you put Set-1 in one notebook and Set-2 in another you could then select / deselect those notebooks from displaying in your Bible.

You select which notebooks are displayed in the Notes tab (this screenshot assumes a subscription - if you don't have one please advise. The same functionality is available but in a different place on the toolbar)

Just to add to @Graham Criddle: if your Color Sets correspond to a Highlighting Palette you can nominate a Notebook for all its styles (colors).
