Set Linkset To "Follow Only" On Desktop (Feature Request?)

So I'm not sure if I'm missing something, maybe this is already available and I've missed how to use it.

I'd love to be able to set my linksets on desktop to have certain panels to "follow only" in the same way you can on mobile.

For instance, on mobile I'm able to have my preferred Bible set to Linkset A, and set a commentary beside it to "Linkset A Follow Only" is there a comparable feature on desktop? On desktop, I have to set them to the same linkset but if I scroll in the commentary, it also scrolls the Bible text. Is what I'm trying to achieve at all possible?

No can do, on the desktop, Frank. They do that on the mobile, however.

Multiview is Logos' answer to Follow Only. At first, I thought it was a work-around (cheap-shot). But actually just the opposite.

- The linking in Multiview doesn't use up your regular A-F links. I link a lot.

- You can have multiple Multiviews for almost anything that's linkable. Commentaries, lexicons, ancient texts, Josephus (and Philo too)

- Multiviews can themselves be linked!

- Resources remember their multiview links. So, each time you open one, you get everything you linked automatically!

- Multiviews support a sizable number of resources too; I have one for my main commentaries, and one for 'all' (by book)

- And if you come from Accordance, they're quite similar to adding a linked resource.

Now, I'd agree, leader/follower linking makes sense for small layouts. Easy to do; easy to use.

I would REALLY like to see what Frank is talking about implemented in the desktop version. Scrolling a commentary makes the Bible jump all around, for instance.

On the mobile app (and the Faithlife e-reader and Faithlife Study Bible apps), there is the option for "follow only." It works great and I can't understand why it's not an option on the desktop version.

I think they re-named it to Multiple Books Display. The icon is 3 solid vertical bars, on a resource panel.

I came here to post this exact question. The "Follow Only" reminds me much more of the way things used to work with links in the old Libronix days (I'm old...), but scrolling resources together has never felt "right" to me since the engine shift in Logos 4 many years ago.

I've recently started using mobile for my devotional reading and so getting much more familiar with that app than I had been. Being able to have study Bible notes or commentaries scroll along with the biblical text without wildly jumping around if you want to check on something in the commentary is really nice compared to how the desktop app functions.

The multibook view is fine if you want all the resources right in front of you, but having commentaries and notes in different tabs in a workspace is usually how I like to lay things out, and adding a "follow only" option to those secondary linked resources would be a real blessing.

It is maddening when using a Bible/Commentary and you move the commentary and Bible jumps to elsewhere. That is only one example. Really, in almost any link set this can be a problem.

Jerry.... As a "work around", I generally have 2 instances of my bible open. One in the linkset with the commentaries and such and one that is not in a linkset.

I'm with you on this. Hope we get this in....
