Desktop App Functionality

Please forgive me if this has been addressed. Is the desktop version of Logos unable to be fully used without having the resources downloaded locally? I have an extra computer with minimal space, but would like to use the desktop version. I could use the web app, but it does not have the full functionality I want. Is there something I can do?

Are there plans to get the web app close to, if not fully like, the desktop version? For people with extensive libraries, space can sometimes be at a premium. It would be amazing to have the option to have the full functionality of Logos available to the person who did not want to download the resources to their local storage. I realize that it is at the cost of being online.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Yes - there are some (many) things that can't be done without having resources downloaded locally.

While books in the cloud can appear in searches, they need to be downloaded in order to read them
To use Interactives, they need to be downloaded locally
Guides will only return books that are downloaded locally
Collections will only show books that are downloaded locally
etc

There have been numerous discussions about this and there is a clear desire from the Logos team to get much of the desktop functionality online. And one of the advances in that area is with new functionality being developed to work across all three platforms (desktop, app, web) at the same time.

Having said that, I personally think it is unlikely that all desktop functionality will ever be available online.

You might want to consider installing Logos on a USB drive if there isn't enough space on the main drive.
