ACBC Biblical Counseling Books

The term "biblical counseling" in the logos website search box pulls up a variety of hits, including those authors who advocate for a psychological or integrationist approach (which is unfortunate for some of us). Instead, I see a tremendous opportunity for Logos to team up with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors and the Biblical Counseling Coalition to provide a curated list of Logos resources. I expect that, for many of us, it would improve the marketability of the counseling tool within Logos. Thank you for considering.

I sure get what you’re saying. I wasn’t suggesting a restriction to the breadth of availability. Rather, this is more akin to one of Logos denominational packages. It would promote and sell more resources for a large and growing group of people who have a conviction about what biblical counseling is...represented by those two organizations.

Over the years, I had recommended Logos coordinate with each denomination for a curated and approved set of resources for members, so they wouldn't have to waste money on unfortunately incorrect books. I think it'd be a big money-maker.

Thanks DMB. You may have some valid points for Logos to consider. However, for this thread, I'm only providing a suggestion to Logos to consider biblical counseling. ACBC and BCC represent cross-denominational convictions that could expand Logos into a new and untapped area.

This is an old thread, but in case the lack of traction was due to a lack of specific ideas, I've posted a specific suggestion for a bundle to help counselors meet the Addictions Specialization Reading Requirements.

I considered also suggesting bundles for Phase 1 Certification and/or the other 2 specializations; however, the Addictions Specialization bundle idea seemed most clear, as I found only one way to fulfill the requirement with Logos Editions alone.
