Can I link a PAGES or WORD document to a note? What about linking a note to another note?
I don't know if it is possible to do it with the Logos software, but linking notes in Obsidian from the books or articles I read on Logos works for me.
I link one note to another all the time. I have many "chains" that I update and change regularly. I've posted it before but here it is again….
Note 1
Reference: Joh 316.
Title….
Verse talks about believing in Jesus.

Note 2
Reference: Joh 8:24
Title…..
Next: Joh 8:24
Prev: Begining
____________________ end of Note 2
What I do is
Go to Note 2, highlight the word "Next" in Note 2 and then click on the "three dots" in the upper right corner, then choose "copy location" (ctrl-alt-c for windows).
Then go to Note 1 and highlight "Next" then click on "chain symbol" and paste, and click "Save". This way I can click on "Next" in Note 1 and go directly to Note 2.
In Note 2, I do the reverse by going to Note 1, highlighting "Prev" and clicking on the "three dots" in the upper right hand corner, then "copy location", then go to Note 2 highlight the word "Prev" in the Note, click on the "chain symbol" and paste, then click "Save".
This way I can go back and forth through my "chain" of Notes just by clicking "Next" and "Prev". It's a bit of work, I agree…. but it is very helpful to me to be able to go up and down my chains quickly.
I have been doing this since I came to Logos from WordSearch. I do wish there was a better way, but this works for me. 😎
If you have a specific Microsoft Word document that you want to link to, an easy way would be to upload it to a cloud storage platform like OneDrive, Google Drive or Proton Drive and then creating a share link and inserting that share link into your Note file in Logos.
Regarding linkage to Word files: since some time now, Logos supports the file:///…. (or file:\\\… both will work) parameter to link local files, so no upload to cloud or a local webserserver is needed anymore.
You can easily use file:\\\C:\test-folder\test.docx to link to file test.docx in folder C:\test-folder - just type a text in your note, select it and then use the chain-link-button in the notes editor and put the file:/// parameter into it (don't use quotes). Clicking the blue text in the note then will open Word if needed and show the file.

I know that hermeneutics is interpretation of God's Word, but what am I missing? Am I missing anything? The best interpretation of the Bible comes from the Holy Spirit revealing the hidden meanings. I am halfway through my Pastoral Counseling and Addiction Recovery master's class. It is a shortened version rather than…
As I have mentioned on a few threads, I find the auto-select (on the desktop version) to be really frustrating since when I am just trying to select a word to either copy it or highlight it, it randomly opens in a new column, distorting the width the column I had open, and / or selects the entire paragraph when I am trying…
Hi, I am learning Greek and I find it difficult to read my types Greek vs the Greek in my resource because they are of a different font. φ can come out differently. How can I make the font match so that when I type Greek, it comes out with the same font? I use Keyman to type Greek. The font in Notes says "Default: Source…
when opening the mobile app for the first time I get a splash screen asking me to choose my Bible and to sign in. if I choose the Bible first and then sign in, the preferred Bible setting on the app is replaced by what I had previously set on the account. Is this expected behaviour? thanks, Graham
I am glad that it is in production. But now I am wondering on the timetable of "in Production" entail to get it done. My guess it should take again awhile to do this with this book, unless it has been already started. Which it should of been done, considering the first three volumes are done. Please tell the eta of this is…
