Factbook isn't showing my resources, but will show locked resources

I am using 46.1 Max subscription. Using Factbook today, I saw only locked resources. I changed to "prefer local resouces" in program settings.

Now I see no resources. How do I point Factbook to the 10,000+ resources I have downloaded. AI on Google offered a solution that isn't available in my library.

What article were you looking at? In which section did you see these locked resources?

All the sections in Factbook. I just get "no results"

I would turn off the Prefer local resources option - I think all that will show in this case is that you don't own any books that are linked to this article.

I do get one unlocked result (in the Dictionaries section):

But, as far as I'm aware, we can't really influence these sections (much if at all) as results are pulled from lists curated by the Logos team.

I understand they are continually expanding the lists but it's a constraint at the moment.

In this type of scenario, trying a Smart Search could be a good option

I'm afraid that's right, so I will have to wade through "advertisements" to get to what I need. Like I said, I have 10,000+ resources, so I'm not going to buy another dictionary.

I hope Logos can address this!

I'll have to speak to tech support, because when I use Factbook I get "no unlocked dictionaries" and I know better.

Are your resources downloaded or in the cloud? Sometimes, cloud resources are not shown.

Yes, they are all downloaded. I can see now that Factbook is limited in its resources, or in its ability to draw resources from what I have. I don't appreciate seeing locked resources, since that is a form of advertising and interferes with research.

Many feel as you do. Others appreciate it as more like a genuine research library where the card catalogue and reference works reference both materials available and not

I think the best option would be if they made these viewable or hidden with a single click. Some people really like them and find them helpful, while others do not.

I personally do not care for them as a whole, as I also have a very large library and I'd prefer to get hits from books I already own. However, if I was looking up something and there wasn't much listed, sometimes I might want to take a quick look and see what else is out there.
