I tried your steps but was unable to reproduce (iPhone… also on 46.0.1). Until another Android user is able to pop in, have you tried killing the app? Restarting the device? Deleting and redownloading the resource?
NOTE: I assume you meant "LSB" (Legacy Standard Bible), which is what I tried.

And I tried all the suggestions including on a different device. 🤔
The sales page comment is similar; FL said they would follow up. I wonder what happened.
I see that now. However, they did not acknowledge the issue, but only said that customer service would follow up (probably via email). Hopefully this thread can bring attention to the issue.
for the record: I have now downloaded the Bible on iOS and do not seem to have this issue… perhaps it is an Android only issue
