I've always run Logos on Windows OS desktops. How difficult is it to switch from my current Windows 11 Logos to an Apple OS Mini desktop?
Logos will be almost identical on a Mac as it is on Windows. Some of the hot keys will be different. Once you get it installed it will look and work almost identical.
Switching from Windows to Mac in general does have a learning curve, but worth the effort. There are millions of videos on YouTube helping learn the differences between Windows and Mac. The Mac and it’s operating system is superior to Windows in almost every way.
The Mac experience is greatly enhanced by Apples high PPI Retina display, and the trackpad. A lot of people buy the Mac mini and then attach it to a cheap monitor. They are missing out on the biggest benefit IMO.
But everyone’s financial situation is different. The 24 inch iMac is an equally great deal and comes with a Retina display built-in. You will never regret upgrading the display, especially if you spend many hours reading from the screen. If Apple is too expensive, I would at least get a decent 4k display as a minimum. Those will be on sale for Black Friday too.
The Apple mouse I never thought was so great. After trying it out I went back to a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse.
Best Buy had the entry level mini $100 off last week as a pre-black Friday sale. It’s a good bet the sale will be back on Black Friday. The only possible caveat with the entry level mini would be the 256GB SSD space. It would be enough for most people, but depending on what you do it could get filled up.
Just install Logos on the Mac (from the Logos.com site). It installs, loads all your books and your notes, etc You're in business! Easy peasy.
I use both Windows and Mac.
Cant find anything but the greek text
I’m new to iPad. I’ve setup my new iPad A16 with iOS 26. Logos is up to date. My Notebooks is available, but it’s notebooks I deleted long ago. There are no Sermons or Biblestudies available. Pressing the sync menu item also does nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I think this has been asked before, and I tried to search the forum but I can't find it. I apologize, if this is redundant. I was watching a movie with my wife (can't remember the title, but it's famous/infamous, and from a book that's also famous/infamous), where Tom Hanks and Audrey Tautou are searching for the Holy…
Dear Folk, What are your recommended resources on the History of Israel? Most SDAs follow Theile's work on the kings; have preference for dating the Exodus, etc. There are many good intellectual histories that discuss the various viewpoints, but what do other SDA Logos users think are the most helpful resources on Israel's…
