So, I've had several posts about iPad problems, and lots of crashes. I had a Hebrew Reading set-up with a number of resources linked to the Hebrew text. I discovered that closing the panel with Driver's Textual Commentary on teh Text of Samuel tended to make things better. Even if I had nothing open BUT Driver, scrolling through it was very… choppy, not smooth. The resource was download, and I have an iPad Pro with the M4 chip.
Well, today based on reading another thread, I made a change to my Greek Study setup on my MacBook Pro. This is a new machine, M5, 32Gb RAM, 1Tb SSD. It should absolutely fly. I swapped out my Greek text UBS for the SBL GNT; well, the former scrolled smoothly, the latter is… really choppy. It stutters. If I close everything else, it's better, but still stutters a bit, which suggests something about overloading Logos, perhaps? It's a downloaded resource, and the machine has lots of RAM, SSD, and chip power available so… why do some resources cause stuttering more than others?
