I just upgraded my subscription to Logos Max (annually) due to the emphasis on original languages research. I’m wondering exactly what perks others who have this package have noted concerning original language topics such as exegesis, syntactical parallels, resources, etc. I noted the Evangelical Exegetical Commentary series which seems pretty rigorous, so that’s certainly appreciated.
What really piqued my interest was the advanced search capabilities touted in the Max package. As an example, I’m wanting to know how to conduct morphological searches such as every usage in both the GNT & LXX of the masculine singular adjective εἷς (one) as used in Mark 12.29 in Christ’s quotation of the LXX Shema. I tried this using ChatGPT & it was very helpful, but, as we know, this aperture simply reaches across all internet platforms instantaneously & presents the results (which may, or may not be, accurate). I REALLY wish I knew how to both secure & use Logos AI for these types of searches. (Note: I would be doing this search from my iPad, where I do all of my research anymore, contra my laptop.)
Basically, I worry that I have a Ferrari engine in an Oldsmobile frame—and I don’t know how to use all of the power I’ve got under the hood😳. It may take me a day or two to respond, but I’ll definitely read each and every response. Any input or advice much appreciated in advance.
