Factbook: "The Cave of Treasures" missing

A critical edition of The Cave of Treasures is available in Syriac with an accompanying French translation in the Corpus Scriptorum Christianorum Orientalium: La Caverne des trésors: Les deux recensions syriaques, ed. Su-Min Ri, CSCO, 486–7, Scriptores syri, 207–8 (Louvain: Peeters, 1987). For the sake of clarity, I have sometimes abbreviated passages cited from this work.
The article by Su-Min Ri referred to is ‘La Caverne des Trésors et Mar Éphrem’, in Orientalia Christiana Analecta 256 (1998), p. 82f.

So I went to Factbook, which seems to have no entry for this. Instead, an ALL Smart Search pointed towards https://www.logos.com/product/36564/lexham-bible-dictionary?queryId=30b64ebf12ed52082f71352f01f231bc (right panel). Maybe there could be added a Factbook entry?

This is a foundational document (together with Book of the Bee) that Logos must treat as foundational in order to fit with the academic market. Even laity such as myself are becoming much more aware of the Oriental Orthodox communities because of their diaspora.

We've got two things on our list of work to do that is related to this:

Update Factbook so that one can go from the Factbook page to the LBD article on "The Cave of Treasures"
We've also got scheduled to review a few corpuses of literature that include a translation of "The Cave of Treasures". The goal of this work is to review the literature and both create more Factbook entries for these writings and hook them up with support so you can open the text directly from Factbook. This project has more moving parts and will take a couple of months to roll out.

Is it useful when I continue to create posts for missing entries or links in Factbook while you are working on it?

I'm fine with you creating posts for missing entries or links.

As far as Factbook missing entries go, we had a big push in 2024 but slowed down to work on other projects in 2025. We're going to be picking this up again in 2026 but it never hurts to see where things are missing that we might have missed ourselves.

If you notice areas where its missing or could benefit from links to texts are helpful to report. We feel good about the place where we started: i.e. texts supported by data types like Old Testament Pseudepigrapha, New Testament Apocrypha, etc. We're moving beyond these in a variety of ways but it is an extremely long tail. It's nice to receive a nudge from users from time to time about texts we're overlooking or should be prioritizing.
