Right Size Laptop

A different kind of question. What diagonal screen size have you found to be adequate for running Logos Subscription Max under Windows 11 Pro? I currently have my 27" desktop and a Microsoft Surface Pro 8, but thinking of going for a regular laptop. There are a couple of Dell models that interest me, but primarily the screen size is most important.

I used to have a 17 inch laptop. I now have a 16 inch one. I do notice the difference when using Logos with two main panels and a small side panel open at the same time. Still a fine laptop and I'm happy with it.

I've used Logos on both 14 and 15 inch laptops. My preference is for a bit more real estate than those give. That said, larger than 15 are harder to come by and sometimes more pricy, so its a balancing act.

I use Logos on an 18" laptop screen, with whatever I'm preparing on a second screen (24" rotated to portrait show it shows more than a page at once in Word).

I prefer a larger screen on my laptop. I have my tablet if I want a smaller form factor.

I have a Dell XPS 16 (9640) - 16" with 3840 x 2400 OLED touch screen. Needs sharp eyes, but then you can have a lot on the screen.

For sure, the bigger the better. But my eyes aren't 20 years old anymore. Unless you can simply add on bigger screens. Then you get the best of both.

I use three monitors and find that it is sufficient. I guess it depends on what you are doing and how you work. I have two windows on each monitor.

Monitor Left: Window 1-Text Comparison Tab and Library Tab, Window 2-Notes

Monitor Center: Window 1-Bibles, Window 2-Reading Resources (commentaries etc)

Monitor Right: Window 1-Search, Window 2-Guides. I also have a Copy Bible Verses window as well

This has been a fascinating conversation and I very much appreciate each of your thoughts. You provide great insight from your experience. As I noted in my questions, I have a 27" HP well loaded with resources as my main computer and that works great. But my interest is for the times when I travel or go another location, what would suffice that would not be overly bulky, but still provide a reasonable study experience. Hence my question. I have been watching a lot of MP Seminars as a refreshed on ideas that I may have forgotten about and Joshua Rowe teaches from a laptop. It's a Mac but I wonder what screen size he has on that as he seems to be very comfortable with it.

For this use I'd prefer a 15 inch or 16 inch laptop. There are many good light weight choices out there. You would not need the most powerful processor to run Logos. Intel on-board graphics might also suffice (though I have no experience using that with Logos). Your decision involves getting one with the right specs that is within your budget.
