how to make notes for a research paper

I am writing a paper. I thought I would create a document in Logos where I could paste text that I copy from various books. Then I can copy and paste what I need into my paper. I don't see any way to do this so that when I paste it, I get the bibliographic information in a footnote.

I am using the clippings file

I tried the Bible study document, but that was too constricting

how can I do this?

I use clippings for short papers < 25 pages

@Michelle I found notes and sermons and Bible study too tedious for what I want to do. I just want somewhere I can put all my notes that I can later copy and paste what I want in my paper. And have Logos print the book information like if I have copied it right from the book.

Logos will do this with Clippings, but you have to have it turned on in your Settings. Same with a simple copy/paste…turn on the biblio in your settings.

You can also do it manually with Clippings…flip the card over and copy the bib info on the back. It even includes the page number.

Hmm… is the workflow below feasible?

Open the clippings you've saved → Click Print/Export.

2. Click Copy to clipboard, then paste to your paper or Save as file: any format that's suitable.
