Fix the Atlas tool!

I am sure this must have been mentioned before but since it is still not fixed, mentioning it again: when searching for a specific place using the Atlas tool, it is very frustrating to be led to general maps and not to the specific place in question. If someone is attempting to find the place and does not know precisely where it is (hence the need to use the Atlas), it often does not show at all at the default zoom level. The user does not know how much zoom is needed and which part of the map to focus on if there is need to zoom quite a bit. This is very frustrating.

I have also noticed in the last while that the tool is sluggish while zooming which makes it even more frustrating.

The Atlas tool is a great idea and is very useful when it does what one needs. So please fix it so that it works more like what a user would normally need an Atlas for.

I respectfully disagree. Like Timeline, I've not yet figured out what they were thinking.

They went to the trouble of making a whole bunch. Just like their two earlier versions. So, no savings there.
The maps purposely lack detail. Context? Class-use? Customizable?
They have to ship them one at a time (online). If you're offline (church?), sorry Charlie.
And yes, the search is almost (ok, is) laughable. Where's Waldo?

Then, there's Timelines (advanced!).

Nailed it. There really is an oportunity to provide context-sensitive mapping that takes us to the place named in the text, on a map relvant to that period. In my view, this is the biggest weakness of Logos as a Bible software program.

Since the existing right-click atlas relies on downloading data, it will always be sluggish and useless for those of us who teach in off-line settings. It's so unusable for me that I treat it as non-existent.

Yes. Better to rely on a real resource such as the Zondervan Atlas.
