Has anyone bought and completed this Mobile Ed?
Any thoughts? Is it worth it?
I'm a seminary student and want to get most out of Logos (I own Silver), from a research point of view.

It is a mixed bag and it depends upon your level of experience with the software and whether or not you already have a strong methodology for doing your research.
LT101 is the sort of stuff you would want learn in your first 7 days exposure to the software, nothing more than that it simply tells you
1) how to use the home page to do quick Topic, Passage and other studies
2) exposes you to the library, layout, notes and other documents and favorites as method for organising your research results
LT102 provides you with a methodology for doing a passage study.
It starts of with a good process for reading the bible which I think is good except for one point, it fails to go into detail about asking questions of the text. Engaging with the text is a very significant aspect of reading the text and sets you up to better make use of the results of later study. If you are familar with the text and have asked your own questions you will be better prepared to engage with the results you glean form word studies, grammars, commentaries and other extra textual resources such as theology books and biblical studies.
The course will give you exposure to the tools and guides available in Logos Software at an introductory level, Not every aspect of each guide is covered in depth.
LT103 provides you with a methodology for doing a topic study. My comments about LT102 in general would appy to this course too.
Moving beyond LT102 & LT103 I would highly recommend the following courses to assist you in developing your bible study skills:
https://www.logos.com/product/41721/mobile-ed-bi101-introducing-biblical-interpretation-contexts-and-resources
https://www.logos.com/product/49819/mobile-ed-learn-to-use-biblical-greek-and-hebrew-with-logos-6
Note this second set does not teach you Greek and Hebrew Grammar but it teaches you how to use the research tools in Logos and engage with the better commentaries, grammars and other extratextual resources. It's pre Greek and Hebrew if you like, you'll learn about terminology you come up against in grammars, why its important and get exposure to the alphabets. The are available separately if you only want ot focus on the one language.
LT104 introduces you to the tools for Organising and Communicating your Research. It's the sort of stuff you might want to learn in the first 90 days of using the software. It's at an introductory level and basically tells you what can be done and how to get started without gong in depth into any topic. For instance there is only one module on AdvanceD Searching which barely wets the surface of this topic and the module on Sermon Editor and Proclaim is not much more than an infomercial on this tools. Useful if you have never been exposed to them but not much help if your want to master them.
If you want to begin on the journey to learning how to better search in Logos I recommend the following course:
https://www.logos.com/product/51655/verbum-advanced-search-training
Don't be put off by the fact is written for Verbum users. It is equally applicable for Logos users.
There is also a Verbum Advanced Academic Training Course available which I have not look at yet so can't comment on its strengths and weaknesses.
https://www.logos.com/product/51653/verbum-advanced-academic-training
In Summary the Academic Training Bundle is great for those new to the software or those who don't have a strong methodology but it won't make you a master of the software. It will give you good exposure to the possiblilites.
For Logos 6 there was an Academic Training Course by Morris Proctor which lacked the methodology approach of this bundle but went more depth on the the how to of things. Logos have indicated there won't be and update of this training course to Logos 7 which I think is shame because I would call it intermediately level training in comparison to this introductory set.

There is of course Camp Logos 7 bundle https://www.logos.com/product/144056/camp-logos-1-and-2-collection which is once again more a how to type of course form what I understand, but I have never used it.
If you felt this Academic Training Bundle was of value it could be nicely supplemented with the following training manuals rather than buying the Camp Logos video training at a much more reasonable cost

Hope this helps you out a little Alex
Thanks DoC! I figured it wouldn't be that impressive.

Hi everyone, would this be still useful to go through in 2025 or are there better resources?
