Yellow highlights only in book of Romans? Need help troubleshooting

NASB (1995) Bible Continuing to study Romans. I've done so before and highlighted much of the text but now I find many of my highlights have disappeared and much of the text is randomly "highlighted" with yellow. Very random phrases, all yellow highlights. When I drag over the word or phrase highlighted in yellow, the highlighter box pops up and the last of the recent highlights is the "Remove highlighting" circle with diagonal line meaning there IS a highlight there I can remove to take the text back to original. When I select that, the yellow highlighting remains. Any suggestions? It's only the book of Romans.

Do you have a search window open that would be highlighting those verses / or a visual filter?

Can you post a screenshot showing what you are describing?

That was my thought as well that I had a search window open because the yellow highlights are exactly like those you would find if you were searching for a word or a phrase. However, no, there is no search window open. At your request, I am posting a screenshot of part of a page from Romans 5. The screenshot is from my iPad, which is synced to my laptop. In the screenshot, the words “death”, “we”, “resurrection” and “ grace“ are correct and are my highlights. But all the other words and phrases are that are highlighted in yellow are not mine and as I said before when I t

The fact that you see this on your iPad is very interesting - in that it removes a whole range of options such as visual filters and corresponding highlighting, as they are not supported on mobile.

But to track it further can you do something on your laptop please?

Right-click one of the highlighted words, click at the top left of the context menu (to select the word) and then click Open notes and highlights on the right (I'm showing an example of doing this below)

Then please post a screenshot showing the instance of the Notes Tool that opened in response.

Sunday 1/18. 5:56pm Thank you again for working with me on this. Very puzzling result. I have added other people's highlights (and successfully used them no prob) but I'm not familiar w/ "Gaby Botha" to my knowledge and it's not in my arsenal. When I tried your instruction on other yellow-highlighted words and phrases the result is the same (Gaby Botha)…I didn't try every single one but after 5 or 6 with same result, this seems to be the connecting link. Not sure how to make it disappear. It's only in the book of Romans.

Sunday 1/18 6:16pm BINGO! I clicked around a bit more in that Open Notes & Highlights window and found a way to delete the Gaby B "notebook". Yellow highlights gone! Will remember again if it pops up. All is well !
