Inability to Search Galaxie Theological Journal

What’s going on with the inability to independently search the “Galaxie Theological Journal” library? Logos will recommend journal articles when they appear in guides, but as far as I can tell there is no way to directly search the Galaxie journals themselves; e.g., BibSac. Something is clearly wrong when a search returns zero results for “Jesus”; that’s a major red flag. And today, when I paid for an annual subscription, there was no caveat indicating that independent journal search was unavailable.

2. Run a Book search on that collection.

Thanks for the suggestion. That makes sense. I had been trying to search journals on my iPad, which was unsuccessful. However, I was able to conduct a search of journals on my desktop. Under the search Books option there was a choice for Journals. That did a thorough search of the journals. But, on my iPad there is not a Journals choice under Books “Collections.” The only choice under there is Commentaries. We all know that features can be limited on mobile devices. Your suggestion makes sense, though. I appreciate it!

But, on my iPad there is not a Journals choice under Books “Collections.” The only choice under there is Commentaries.

Can you expand on this please?

When, on my iPad, I select the Collections option under Search, one of the Collections I can select is my Journals one.

if you create a journals collection on the desktop it should then show up on mobile as an option in the collections drop down.

@Chris G. Hutchings yes you can use collections, but with the new Study Assistant you can ask specific questions and point it to your journals:

Yes, Journals show up on a mobile app search; i.e., Factbook, Topic Guide, Study Assistant. But I'm unable to perform an independent topic search of all journals on iPad because under Search < Books< Collections, Journals is not there — only Commentaries is listed there. That said, I can perform a full independent topic search of Journals on my desktop because the Journals option is there.

Hello, Graham! On my iPad, under Search <Books < Collections, "Commentaries" is the only thing listed there. However, I can perform a full independent topic search on my desktop of the Journals because Journals is an option. Looks like I need to create a "Journals" collection (even though the Journals show up on the desktop). That way I can select "Journals" from the Collections tab under Search < Books. I've attached a photo of what is in my Collections tab under Search < Books.

If you do not have many other journals, you can run search on Type:jounal

I get that list that you posted when using my desktop, but not on a mobile device. However, on my desktop, I just now created a new collection labeled "Journals," and I drug all the journals into that collection. Now "Journals" shows up on my mobile device under SEARCH < BOOKS < COLLECTIONS. Thanks for the guidance!

Or you can create a quick collection by typing in the search where it shows book: type:jounal

I don't get the screen you posted. When I enter the syntax "type:journal" Logos switches the search engine to Precise, and you can see what the results are in the attached screenshot. I can find all the journals in my library. The way my interface is set up is SEARCH < BOOKS < JOURNAL — choose Smart or Precise and then enter the topic or passage to be searched. This is all on a desktop.

Can you just change it back to smart search if that is what you want? Not sure I am following your issue.

Here are two screenshots when I try it your way. All is well, though. My interface is obviously different. I can search the journals by changing "Your Books" to "Journal." It's a dropdown.
