Opening a Daily Devotional from the Dashboard turns to the day the application was started

When I access My Utmost for His Highest from my Dashboard, it opens to yesterday, which I think is when I last opened the application.

This happened yesterday, too, which prompted me to restart Logos.

When I quit the application, go back to the dashboard, and click on it, it opens to the correct day.

Perhaps this is a caching issue.

Same here with a lectionary on Windows. The dashboard just doesn't refresh automatically in most cases if you leave the program running. F5 (or whatever the shortcut is for refresh on Mac) or clicking "Refresh" behind the cock wheel does work though, you don't need to restart.

I've noticed that too. Create a layout name and save it in your tool bar to access daily. When you are done reading for the day update your layout, so when you open from your toolbar it opens where you left off. This has worked for me. Best of luck.

I only know of three ways to get lectionaries to open on 'today's' date: (1) a card in the dashboard, (2) in the box on the dashboard, type Open <book name>, and before clicking to open that, drag that command to your toolbar. Every time you click on it, it will open (3) Of course #1 and #2 give you the book not a layout - so #3 for opening a layout with a lectionary or devotional, is just "Update Active Layout" before you close it - you can do that very easily by a favorite per the technique I explained in #2 to drag "Update Active Layout" to the Favorites list, or to drag it to the toolbar. I have both - I just hit Command-4 (Control-4 on a Windows PC) to do the update, takes 1/4 of a second then I close the layout. Easy.
