Forum Search results do not obey sorting option

I wanted to see something I posted a couple days ago, so I searched for my last name then sorted by "Newest". However, the newest thing that shows is something from 3 weeks ago. I know I posted several things since then. It seems to be a bug.

I know I can search by author, but that's irrelevant regarding the bug.

(Sorry about the "Desktop App" tag. There seems to be no way around mis-tagging it.)

I used hooton in the Search box and it missed a recent comment. The "Newest" was a comment to a thread that I started.

When I tried to filter the result, the Author field did not respond to @Dave …

My latest hooton Search now shows the most recent Comment but:

it omits two comments before re. Bible Commentaries…
it omits two comments after the above.
the comment from English Suggestions is indented?

How much is dependent on refreshing in the browser?
