Problem with read aloud (Cmd+R) for ESV audio Bible … word by word indicator is out of sync with audio in most recent update to Logos.
I have noticed this problem also with the David Cochran Heath narrator for the ESV. The System Narrator does not seem to have the same problem.
Just imagine you're in an old kung fu movie. Then it isn't distracting.
Thanks for letting us know. We can reproduce this in-house and are looking into it.
The same issue is occurring on a Windows computer.
I came here to report the same issue with the read-aloud ESV Bible using the David C. Heath recording on my Windows 11 PC running Logos version 47.0.332 . Adjusting the read-aloud speed is not impacting the speed of the dot, which is currently going way too fast and is out of alignment with the reading (currently in Leviticus).
This issue is NOT happening on my 2023 MacBook Pro (running Sequoia 16.6.1) and Logos version 46.1.5. Read aloud on the ESV using the David C. Heath recording is aligned perfectly with the dot.
I get this behavior with LEB also and on multiple windows machines. Thank you for this thread. It is nice to know I am not the only one experiencing the anomaly.
The same issue is occurring on my iMac, using macOS version Tahoe 26.1.
This problem will be fixed with the release of Logos 47.1
The fix has shipped in Logos 47.1
The fix worked after the 47.1 update. But was doing a Bible reading today, the ESV audio was not working again. When used as a narration, each chapter would load with only a few seconds remaining. So a 5:00 chapter would start at the 4:33 mark. Then the next chapter would do the same. Loaded the ESV audio book by itself. Each chapter played properly, but instead of going to the next chapter each time, it would randomly jump three/four chapters ahead.
@Jonathan Jenkins I am sorry to hear that you are having this difficulty. Please confirm which Operating System you are using and which version of Logos. We can then look into this further.
Its working today. Just FYI, Laptop in my office is Windows 11. The PC in our church's AV booth is a windows 10 pro. It was the AV computer on which I noticed it first. But it is working fine this morning. Thanks. Oh, and I am using 48. I am a Max subscriber user.
