How do I find all occurrences of a Hiphil, infinitive construct where the initial 'he' has been replaced by a preposition (syncopation)? All of my efforts have failed so far. Anyone know the steps in Logos?
After trying many things I think I figured it out. I wish It was easier to get started but the "NOT" command did not work as expected. One should rather use "NOT INTERSECTS":
The above search is with BHSA. Just with BHS below:
With Lexham Hebrew Bible:
Probably yes. One will have to do a separate search for any verb with guttural ה as part of the root and then manually sort the results. However, there won't be many issues with this since all the III-ה verbs (with vowel-letter ה) will shift to a ת instead of a ה in the infinitive construct. E.g.:
Here are all instances of II-ה verbs in the Hifil infinitive construct:
Here are all instances of I-ה verbs in the Hifil infinitive construct:
The first hit from Job 29:3 has only one ה, but that seems to be a contraction of two ה's into one, and not a merger of the ה and the preposition (look at the vowel on the preposition).
Finally, there are no III-הּ verbs in the Hifil infinitive construct. So no more hits would be missed.
i can do this in Accordance but cannot figure out how in Logos
Thank you for your response. I can do it in Accordance as well but just can't seem to figure out how in Logos. Maybe someone will figure this out.
That’s exactly what I was looking for. Thanks KeenUser!👍
Glad to see someone else trying to learn how to do all the Hebrew/Greek searches in Logos which are possible in Accordance. So, I liked the challenge.
Wouldn’t that search eliminate any result that has ה in any part of the word, even words where ה is part of the root?

I have run into an issue where Acts 3 is highlighted and I can't remove or deselect it (ESV). I got to the chapter using a search on "silver and gold" I have tried closing the chapter and opening it in a different version (NRSV) and it too is highlighted. I cannot select within it to copy text because any selection opens…
Does it violate copyright to paste Bible verses from Logos NABRE to social media pages as long as the chapter, verse and source is identified in the paste? If the copyright does not allow under what auspices can it be done, if at all?
How do I know when to download a new version of Logos. They di not tell you what version is to be downloaded. For some reason, It will not automatically download, even though set to automatic download.
Why do I have to specify a tag to make a post when the tags are a curated list rather than open-ended, and none of them apply to the post???????? @Jason S. (Logos) , that's a nutty way to run a railroad… I'm going to start using random, unrelated tags as long as this is the policy.
I had occasion to copy a verse from an interlinear version such as The Lexham Greek-English Interlinear Septuagint. I needed to show, as an example, many of the lines such as lemmas and literal translation. I tried both Copy/Paste and Print/Export but the result was simply the original Greek. The other lines did not copy…
