Old Highlights don’t appear on iPad, but new ones do.

The title says it all, basically my old highlights no longer appear on my iPad, but if I make new ones they do.
So, highlights on Mac all there, not on iPad. I make a new highlight on Mac, it appears on the iPad. But not my old ones.
Have I accidentally turned off/on a feature?
All devices up to date.
I appreciate any help.

This sounds strange - there is no mechanism to enable new highlights but not old ones.

Are these highlights (new and old) all in the same resources or different ones?

And have you checked if the old highlights appear in the Notes Tool on the iPad but not showing up in the books they are highlighting?

I am trying to locate a Chronological NASB Bible within LOGOS
If I never use slides when preaching, would it be better to use "Sermon" or "Notes" function?
I preach with sparse notes in document type "Sermon" in a split screen with the Bible on the top half. Using my tablet. There are verses on it for links and a few points. I never use any "presentation" functions. Would it be better to simple use "Notes" function instead?
