Logos randomly highlights large portions of Bible text

Suddenly all of John chapters 7 through 10 are highlighted in Logos and I can't figure out why. I don't use any visual filter tools (I don't even know what they are, but when I google my question that is what comes up).

Why does this happen and how can I get it to stop?

First idea: do you have any search tabs open? Close them all to make sue the "highlight" is not just a search result marker.

I did not have any search tabs open. While it was behaving this way, I opened and closed several different searches, and my activity there didn't have any effect on the highlights.

Eventually, I closed Logos and reopened it, and the highlighting went away … so I'm thinking it is a bug.

Were you using the Study Assistant - it is a form of search, often references wide swaths, and on my system at least is frequently blue.

I am trying to locate a Chronological NASB Bible within LOGOS
If I never use slides when preaching, would it be better to use "Sermon" or "Notes" function?
I preach with sparse notes in document type "Sermon" in a split screen with the Bible on the top half. Using my tablet. There are verses on it for links and a few points. I never use any "presentation" functions. Would it be better to simple use "Notes" function instead?
