good afternoon where can I find an older version if I don't want to use the newer version with all the AI I just want a standard version of Logos software to work on my MacBook Air.
You should be able to find a downloadable version here
But if you are running Big Sur I wouldn't expect the later version to download - so I'm slightly confused.
And is there any particular reason you would rather use the older version of software as opposed to choosing to not use AI-enabled features?
Graham is right. You can download the lastest Logos and not subscribe and it will work on Big Sur. If you don't subscribe the AI stuff isn't available anyway.
Well, I just wanted to use the logos the way they were before AI. I guess I am old school and still trying to work out the AI in my mind and where it fits in sermon prep for me. I have tried downloading the software, and it says I need to update to the new version, which has the AI stuff. I will try calling the tech line and talk with them again, but they didn't have an answer for me last time, they just said you need to run the subscription software. Thank you for the help. Yes - but if you don't subscribe you don't have access to the AI elements (apart from the option to use it briefly for testing two / three times each month)

Yes, I believe that is true. Turning off Banners reduces (removes?) that but these settings are only available to subscribers or base package owners

I don't know - I think they have built up over time. Even before the introduction of AI features there were encouragements (more subtle) to upgrade.
