At Logos, we are committed to providing the best possible tools for biblical study. To do that effectively, we have to ensure our development resources are focused on providing the most value to our users.
After careful consideration, we have decided to retire the Faithlife Study Bible and Faithlife Ebooks mobile apps:
- Final Version: Version 50 will be the final update for both apps.
- Store De-listing: On June 2, 2026 (coinciding with the release of Version 51 of our primary apps), these two apps will be removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Why are we doing this?
Simply put, we want to build faster and better. These two apps currently have very low usage. By sunsetting them, our developers can focus 100% of their energy on the Logos and Verbum apps—ensuring those platforms remain the gold standard for your study.
What this means for you
If you currently use these apps, here is what you need to know:
- All your books, notes, and highlights remain tied to your account. You can access them anytime via the Logos or Verbum mobile, desktop and web apps.
- If you currently have the apps installed, you can continue to use them. We are not "killing" the app on your device; however, we will no longer provide updates, bug fixes, or security patches.
- Because these apps will no longer be updated, they may not support newly released resources or features, and they may eventually stop working if you update your phone’s operating system (iOS/Android) to a version they don't support.
Moving Forward
We highly recommend transitioning to the Logos or Verbum apps. They contain all the functionality —and much more— of the retiring apps.
Thank you for your understanding and for being part of the Logos community.
