Help! Mass Importing to iPad

Well, I did it!

God supplied the money and I scampered off to the neighboring metropolis (Boise, ID) and picked up my iPad. And I love it!

The first thing I did was to install my Logos software, and began importing my resources.

In Logos 4, I have 2400-2500 resources, and I would love to import as much of this as possible. Yet, the only way I know how to import a book is to:

1. Open the Library
2. Click on the Little Blue Button on the right of the book
3. Click the Resource Offline to the "ON" position.
4. Choose the "DONE" button in the upper right.

If I do this, it will take εις τους αιωνας των αιωνων!

Is there a way to toggle a secret "super toggle" which would allow me to mass copy to my iPad?

I know of no way to perform a mass download of your resources. However, my question would be why would you want to at this point in the app's development. Offline reading is just that.. a reader. The search and report functions are only available online. As resources are updated, there is currently no automatic mechanism to update the offline copy creating some problem.

As the app develops more capability for offline use, I can see downloading everything, but until then I recommend downloading the books you want to read offline and not the entire library.

The app is wonderful for use online.

True, but let's say you wanted all the TNTC/TOTC commentaries. In my case I have an iPod Touch, so sometimes when I'm on the go I want a basic commentary readily available. I had to go through the 'make offline' process 50+ times to get all those commentaries offline. It gets frustrating very quickly. I'm not even talking about all my resources, just a few English translations, a Hebrew and Greek Bible, and a few basic commentaries. But it probably took me 20 minutes to download all those items - not because of slow internet, but because there's no way to download faster than one at a time.

It would be great if we could filter in the library view, ie "an introduction and commentary" and then have a 'download all' - then we wouldn't waste space w/ unused resources, but we could have a two or three step process to get batches of resources.

well John, I am glad that you like your new Ipad! and yes you can mass copy as many books as you want so long as that mass is limited to 1 book at a time! Sorry about that, but it is Friday, and it has been a long week, I thought that a little humor might make our week lighten up just a bit.

Is Logos going to eventually make it so that those who own a package can have the search and report functions available offline?

Has this been suggested?

I think this would be a great marketing advantage for Logos and an especially wonderful feature for those of us who do own a package.
