Help restoring an icon that is now grayed out

Question

On the top tool bar on the right hand side, about 6 icons from the far right corner, I used to see when files were updating, a list of updated books, the version number etc.  I accidentallyclicked on that and everything went away and now the icon is grayed out.  Nothing I've tried will turn it back on so I can see that status I used to see and monitor.  Can anyone help me find the switch to turn it back on.  The icon currently looks like two books stacked and an "x" in the upper right corner.

If you hover your mouse over that button with the two squares and the "x" you should see a tooltip that says "Close all panels". It will only be enabled if you have any panels to close.

If you just closed your panels, you can use Ctrl+Shift+T (Cmd+Shift+T on Mac) to reopen recently closed panels.

That has nothing to do with the list of update books/application version updates/etc. That shows up under the notification icon (the blue circle with a number in it). If you have cleared that, then it won't come back until the next time you do something that generates a notification (like updating your books or your application).

If you want to determine your current application version, you can see that from the About panel. If you want to see which resources were updated, you can use the "Last Updated" facet in the left sidebar in the Library panel.

Below is a screenshot of the right-most part of my main Logos menu.  Starting from the left toward the right, the icons are:

* Help
* Layouts
* Close All (i.e., close all open windows in Logos)
* (the one that is a white "2" in a blue solid circle: when I hover over it on my own computer, here's what it says) "289 Updated Books, 4 Updated Data Sets"  I think this one is the one you want!
* "Synchronization is enabled and all items are up to date"
* Store
* Account
* (the 3-dot menu) more options, including Program Settings

The one I numbered "4" above, that has a 2 in a blue solid circle (yours might have a different number in it), is probably the one you want.  It shows what has been updated in the past 7 days in the Logos on your computer.
