Thanks Joe, this issue is very easily reproducible on version 49.0.1. Indeed similar versions of this issue are in all the logos products I use (desktop, android, ios) and have been for a number of years. Are these issues being passed onto QA team for repro?

@Paul M Please let us know the following.

Please confirm what text size is currently selected. View Settings displays a scale from 1 to 12.
Do you still experience this problem if you change the text size?
Your example shows this happening with 2 Corinthians 11:9. Can you name a couple of other verses you have experienced this with?
Your example shows the NIV 1984. Can you name one or two other Bibles you experience this problem with?
