Single book highlights showing different references

Question

I am reviewing some highlights in Bonhoeffer's Life Together, DBWE 5 that were taken 7 years ago. The book has two reference systems. One is ordinary page numbers. The other references page numbers in the actual Bonhoeffer text beginning with DBW 5:1. So, for example, page 27 is also referenced as DBW 5:15. In notes and highlights it selects the DBW: … reference, and I cannot seem to get it to select the book's page numbers. This is problematic in pointing students to the page number of a certain text. Does anyone know if there is a way around this?

I'm not really sure what the issue is with the specific indexing of DBW. If you highlight or put notes to selected text, the note will go to a selection (only if you ask it to make a note/highlight to the reference then it will actually be linked to the datatype reference, which is a large chunk of text with no  meaningful beginning or end - its only useful point is to have a common reference in various editions, i.e. the German language and the English language scholarly editions of DBW). The anchor to this selection refers to the DBW-indexed portion of the text where the selection is to be found, but this is standard (works the same e.g. in the Catechism of the Catholic Church). The point is that in other works with no datatype index, the anchor to selections only mentions the book title, meaning the fact that there is a datatype index for DBW does not away with the page index: note anchors just never mention them. While you are in Logos, you can see them in the locator bar - as well as in the text if you turn that on in Formatting Markers. Moreover, the book's page numbers are usually meaningless accross different editions. Case in point: A text on page 43 in Life Together = DBWE 5 will be on page 17 in Life Together Reading Edition even here in Logos (despite it being the exact same translation), on page 30 of the German language edition and who knows where in any other printed version.
