The sequence of commentary and figures in the The Literary Structure of the Old Testament: A Commentary on Genesis–Malachi by David Dorsey is extremely difficult to follow. Here is the sequence for Micah which is representative of problems in the entire book.
Micah Introduction
- Two paragraphs with last sentence having a reference to figure 32.1
Commentary on Micah 1-3
- First paragraph of commentary on Micah 1 with last sentence having a reference to figure 32.2
- Second paragraph of commentary on Micah 2
- Figure 32.1 (whole book)
- Figure 32.2 (Micah 1)
- Figure 32.3 (Micah 3)
- Third paragraph of commentary on Micah 3 with last sentence having a reference to figure 32.3
Commentary on Micah 4-5
- First paragraph of commentary on Micah 4-5 with last sentence having a reference to figure 32.4
- Figure 32.4 (Micah 4-5)
- Figure 32.5 (Micah 6)
- Four more paragraphs of commentary on Micah 4-5
Commentary on Micah 6-7
- First paragraph of commentary on Micah 6 with last sentence having a reference to figure 32.5
- Figure 32.6 (Micah 7:8-20)
- Figure 32.7 (Micah expanded)
- Two paragraphs of commentary on Micah 7 with last sentence having a reference to figure 32.6
Overall Layout of Micah
- One paragraph of commentary on overall layout of Micah with a reference to figure 32.7
Here is how I would expect this to be sequenced.

This sequencing may follow the formatting of the printed book (I do not have a copy of the book to confirm), but the sequencing does not make sense in an electronic format and has me scrolling forward and back sometimes multiple screen pages to find the figure being referenced. And again Micah is just one example. All of the OT books covered are this way.
