Take your time and get familiar with it. A good place to start when studying the Bible is the factbook (I would have referred them to maybe the passage guide in the past). It will show the necessary reference points (commentaries, text comparisons, etc.). It can also help with topics. AI is good, but it cannot replace the research process.

I've never heard anyone else recommend this, so I have to assume this isn't good advice, but I have always thought that going through the free (!) Logos "Quick Start" videos, done by the really amazing Morris Proctor, would very quickly get a newcomer very much more familiar and comfortable with the interface and most important features, and just in general how to proceed with Logos. I know he's no longer with us, and I don't know if similarly useful videos are still available for free or not. I also think the basic help videos on the Logos website are good. I think that going through several quick, easy videos and following the steps on their own computer, would be much more helpful than focusing only on any one Logos feature.

In 2003, I sold a truck to buy my first Logos package. I've been building my digital Logos library ever since, and it's been worth the investment. Logos has helped me through college and seminary, and I continue to use Logos every day for work, church, and personal study. Once you get your first package, make sure you invest in good editions of the Hebrew Bible, the Greek New Testament, and the Septuagint. Get the best Greek and Hebrew lexicons (start with BDAG and HALOT), and find someone who can teach you how to use them. Get the IVP Bible Dictionary set for topical study, and learn how to prioritize your library so that the tools in Logos will show you links to your favorite resources first. Speaking of tools, learn how to make custom guides and how to run basic searches on Greek and Hebrew lemmas. Learn how the "add parallel text" feature works and how to do cross-highlighting between English and original language Bibles. Learn how to double-click to look up Hebrew and Greek words, and learn how to save workspaces. These are the foundational resources and features I use every day.

For a catholic context in which I find myself: Bible, Judaica, Patristics, Aquinas, v. Balthasar, exegetical works, Popes and Church documents, Church History and classical literature - all [nearly all] linked with each other and only a hover or click away.

Caveat: At least English language resources.

Some great suggestions thus far - for a new user, the Forums can definitely be a treasure of insight….

My encouragement would be along those lines, but more heavily invested in exploration of the program. I remember the first install of the new Libronix and having to click here, there and everywhere to learn the program. Same during the Private Beta of Logos 4 that changed the game.

So new user(s) click everything, open everything, explore and enjoy the voyage!
