I have attached a zip file of a video I shot, showing this. Steps I took:
- So Search/Maps/Your Maps for Meribah (the place)
- 2 results in my maps show up, I click the first one.
- After I am centered over some location names, I zoom in, and it appears the location names have disconnected from the map
- If I click and drag anywhere not on top of a name (as that will go to a Factbook entry for that place), I can slide the city locations anywhere I want - even into the Mediterranean Sea! They are still active as the proper city names (you can see at the end of the video - hovering over a name shows the location tag)
