We have a minor update to announce regarding how you place Pre-Pub and preorder orders. Our goal is to make your shopping experience more seamless by bringing all your purchases, whether they are currently available or upcoming releases, into one unified flow.
What’s Changing?
Previously, when you wanted to place a preorder, you were taken through a dedicated, separate checkout page that only handled one item at a time.
Moving forward, Pre-Pub items will now use the standard Logos cart.
You can now add Pre-Pub products to your regular cart alongside other books or resources.
- $0.00 Initial Transaction: When you checkout with a Pre-Pub item, it will process as a $0.00 item. This serves as the confirmation of your preorder. You may order it alongside other live products, in which case you would pay today for the live product and pay $0 today for the Pre-Pub item.
- Persistent Cart: No more losing your spot! Because these items use the standard cart, they will remain there until you are ready to finalize your order.
What Is Staying the Same?
While the "button clicks" look a little different, the core of the Pre-Pub program remains exactly as you know:
- Pay Later: You are still not charged for the product until it is officially released.
- Price Guarantee: You still lock in the Pre-Pub discount price.
- Management: You will still manage, track, or cancel your preorders the same way you always have through your account page.
- Notifications: You will still receive an order summary email once you place the $0.00 preorder, a notification before it goes live, and a standard invoice once the product ships.
How it Looks in Practice
When you add a Pre-Pub resource to your cart, you will see a label indicating it is a preorder item. It will show the price due when the product is released, but the "Due Now" amount will be $0.00.
